New project launched at the RES departement: POWER

On 01.01.23, a new research project was started at the RES departement on behalf of the BBSR as part of the Zukunft Bau research funding. The POWER project explores the potential of water cycles for the joint and efficient use of energy and resources in high-density mixed-use building blocks. Together with the cooperation partners ILS Research gGmbH, the Institute of Urban Design and European Urban Studies at RWTH Aachen University and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy gGmbH, framework conditions and technical concepts for the establishment and operation of local energy and resource exchange systems based on water cycles between housing and commerce in inner-city redensification projects are being investigated. The funding period is 18 months.
